The Climate Fresk is a hands-on, fun and collaborative workshop on climate change. It is based completely on the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) report. IPCC is the UN’s premier body for assessing the science related to climate change
Completely science based, the Climate Fresk workshop aims to help participants to unpack the science behind climate change linking causes to consequences through a game based approach. The workshop uses a set of 42 cards, each of which represents an element, cause, or consequence of climate change. Participants brainstorm and work together using collective intelligence to link the cards together. With each new set of cards, the facilitator adds in greater complexity, as well as enhanced impacts from climate change. The Workshop ends with a debrief of emotions as well as actions that the participants collectively brainstorm and self evaluate in terms of impact and ease of taking.
As these workshops use a 360 ‘head-heart-hands’ approach, and are backed by a powerful discussion on both the science behind climate change as well as its solutions, participants find them very empowering. Participant benefits include:
